Welcome to Mac audio guy, My name is Jay Shaffer, I’m an audio engineer/ composer/sound designer and a certified Mac fanatic.     I just switched to an Imac. I had brain fade and forgot about being able to turn off my monitor while recording electric guitar parts to eliminate the buzz. What can I do now. Mac says you can’t turn the monitor only off in an Imac.

    Sorry for the belated response. One thing you can do is use a USB audio interface and locate it away from the monitor and plug your guitar into the interface.
