Excellent review of Soundtrack Pro 2 ! Very useful. Thanks for your fine podcasts, enthusiasm for the Mac and the Mac community.
I’m particularly interested in surround music recording. Not for film, but as next generation audio recording. The kind of thing which could be output to DVD-Audio.
Do you have any suggestions/hardware for getting 6 channels back out of my iMac, for monitoring?
Can you tell me how to make a DVD-Audio disc?
Since this format didn’t really take off, but Blu-ray now supports linear PCM audio, would it be easier to make a blu-ray disc movie/not-really-a-movie with LPCM track and would I be able to make it, say 96/24 or even 192/24, with Soundtrack Pro?
Thanks again… and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I can answer the monitoring surround question anyway You can use any six (or more) channel out audio interface. . The Presonus FireStudio comes to mind and then take the Six channels of audio and route them into a surround reciever with discreet inputs.
Now on DVD Audio I refer you to the Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD-Audio
